Nicole K. Furuta, DDS

Dr. Furuta was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Since moving to Colorado over 10 years ago, she has enjoyed every minute of living in such an active state. Dr. Furuta works as a dentist who combines a gentle, friendly style with advanced dental techniques. She will make you more comfortable than you ever thought possible because she wants to keep people happy and healthy by giving them the smile they have always wanted.

Dr. Furuta recieved her bachelor’s of science degree at the University of Puget Sound. She is a doctoral graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and has completed a one-year general practice residency at the veteran’s hospital in La Jolla, California. Dr. Furuta continues her education each year with some of the nation’s top clinicians. She loves staying up to date on the latest techniques and advances in dentistry.

Despite her extensive clinical focus, Dr. Furuta has the unique ability to make her patients feel completely at ease, helping them make informed choices about their dental health. She and her husband, Tad, and their young son love living in our local area. Dr. Furuta is an avid runner, having completed five marathons and 12 half-marathons and counting. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and is always on the lookout for great new restaurants.

Lindsay Fox, DMD

Dr. Lindsay Fox grew up in Tacoma, WA and received her undergraduate degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Rochester in upstate New York. She has a background in research of biochemistry and dental materials and brings that knowledge into her every day clinical practice. She is focused on offering advanced dental technology while treating patients in a friendly and comfortable setting.Dr. Fox attended dental school at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado Anschutz Campus. Continuing education is a lifelong pursuit of hers. She has published multiple papers in the dental field including papers on teeth whitening, same day crowns and digital dentistry. Her goal is to offer the most modern dental treatments to give her patients their best and brightest smiles.

Lindsay lives in the Sunnyside neighborhood with her husband Chris, daughter Clara, dog and cat. She enjoys cooking and traveling. When she’s not in the office you will find her hiking in the mountains or catching some runs on her snowboard. Dr. Fox is delighted to be part of Lodo Dental and serving her local community.

Kelli — Office Manager

Kelli has 17 years of dental management experience. She joined the Lodo Dental team in September 2016. Kelli received her associate’s degree in business from the Community College of Denver, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She has a loving husband and 4 darling children. In Kelli’s spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, traveling, and watching football, volleyball, and basketball. She likes working downtown, and loves the energy of the staff and the positive patient interaction. At Lodo Dental, we strive to provide superior comprehensive dental care and top notch customer service at all times.

Carley — Front Office Coordinator

Carley earned a Bachelor of Science in health and exercise science from Colorado State University. She makes all our patients feel welcome, comfortable, and at ease so that they can have a great dental experience. Carley loves her friendly coworkers, our great patients, and our fun, downtown location. She believes that Dr. Nicole Furuta is a very kind and caring doctor who takes great care of her patients and staff. When she isn’t working, Carley enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs. She loves running and swimming in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, and cheering on our Denver Broncos.

Julie — Periodontal Therapist and Registered Dental Hygienist

Julie has been with Lodo Dental since 2009. Originally from Illinois, she graduated from Southern Illinois University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Julie is passionate to help her patients make connections between mouth and body for optimum health. She loves educating on the latest and greatest trends to keep mind, mouth and body at its best. In addition, Julie is a myofunctional therapist where she neurologically retrains muscles of the head and neck to function more efficiently and create a more effective airway for patients. When away from Lodo Dental, Julie is a regular DIY’er. She loves doing yoga, vacationing and most of all being with her husband, daughter and dogs. They love to be outdoors, especially in the mountains.

Katie — Periodontal Therapist and Registered Dental Hygienist

Katie has been practicing dental hygiene since earning her degree in 2012 and has been making smiles happen here at Lodo Dental since 2014. Katie prides herself on providing a thorough yet gentle cleaning (you might even fall asleep!). Learning and studying new, cutting-edge techniques to serve you better is not only important, but also something that Katie thoroughly enjoys. She has called CO home for over 15 years, before which she traveled the globe courtesy of the military. Katie is an avid skier and equestrian. Outside of the office you can find her teaching Barre Fitness classes and exploring Colorado with her husband and their two hound dogs, Roscoe and Daisy Mae.

Corey — Periodontal Therapist and Registered Dental Hygienist

Corey is the newest hygienist to our practice with over 10 years of experience. Originally from North Carolina, she’s lived throughout the US before settling in Chicago, IL, to raise a family. She relocated her family to Colorado recently to be closer to the sun, mountains and the quality of life Colorado offers. Both her partner and daughter attend college, so when she’s not working around their hectic schedules, she enjoys all things outdoors. She is an avid reader, enjoys connecting with the community and sharing a good glass of wine with friends. Corey is committed to providing quality care and meeting her patients’ needs at the level they are most comfortable with.

Lori – Periodontal Therapist and Registered Dental Hygienist

Lori is a University of Colorado graduate and has many years of experience in the dental field. She strives to blend thoroughness with gentleness while keeping the atmosphere light and friendly. Lori says that by getting to know patients on a personal level, she is better able to customize treatment recommendations to better suit each individual person. With her husband and family, Lori enjoys camping around Colorado and travelling — especially to beaches around the world.

Jessica — Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

Jessica joined us in February of 2018 after moving to Denver from Frederick, Maryland, where she grew up. Jessica has over 13 years of experience in the dental field and is a licensed QDA (Qualified Dental Assistant) or EDDA (Expanded Duties Dental Assistant) and graduated from Kaplan University in 2008. Jessica will be right by your side to comfort you as she assists the doctor during your dental procedures and will do what she can to make it a pleasant experience. Jessica has a daughter named Emma, and when they aren’t out exploring to find fun things that Colorado has to offer, you may find them relaxing by a pool; of course, only after they both finish their homework. Jessica is currently taking classes to become a registered dental hygienist.

Christine – Extended Duties Dental Assistant

Christine goes by her childhood nickname “Chi-Chi”. Chi-Chi has over twelve years of dental experience. She moved to Denver from the Big Apple eight years ago and spent the last seven years in dental labs, fabricating prosthetics. In 2018, Chi-Chi received her EDDA certificate to further her skills and get back in the dental office working directly with patients. You can rely on Chi-Chi to make your feel at ease and be by your side, while aiding the doctors and providing quality care. She may even get you to laugh! 😉 When not working, Chi-Chi enjoys bike riding, painting, and just hanging with her cat Ronin.
